Disc Golf is a rapidly growing sport played much like (and scored like) traditional ball golf, only instead of hitting a ball into a hole, players throw discs (similar to a Frisbee) into elevated metal baskets.
Discs of varying weights and thicknesses are used to shape different shots, much like the various clubs used in golf. As in “ball golf”, the ultimate goal of disc golf is to complete the course with the fewest number of shots.
There are 26 courses across the Maritimes and that number has jumped significantly from only 2 courses back in 2014.
